BBS350BT
Battery-powered Wireless Busbar Temperature SensorA compact strap-on sensor that sits right on busbar joints and connections and reports their temperature wirelessly. It catches hot spots from loose bolts, oxidation and overloads long before they lead to a failure.
- Up to 5 years of battery life, with no wiring or external power
- Measures -40°C to 125°C on metal and insulated surfaces
- Unique UID and node ID on every sensor for easy mapping
- Up to 60 sensors on one BBC969 controller or receiver
Product overview
The BBS350BT is a battery-powered wireless temperature sensor that monitors critical points on both metal and insulated surfaces of current-carrying components. It measures accurately from -40°C to 125°C, so it suits a wide range of electrical and industrial applications, from LT panels to switchgear and bus ducts.
Each sensor straps directly onto a busbar joint or connection and sends its readings over 2.4 GHz (IEEE 802.15.4) to a BBC969 controller or receiver. Because it runs on its own battery, there is no wiring to route through live compartments, and installation takes minutes. Colour-coded housings and a UID and node ID label on every unit make it easy to map sensors to phases and joints.

Built for busbars, made for maintenance teams
Up to 5 years on its internal battery, so there's no wiring and little maintenance once it's installed.
The strap-on design fits busbars and connections without drilling, and installs during a short shutdown.
Mounts right at the joint, so you measure the hot spot itself, not the air around it.
Works with BBC969 controllers and receivers, then on to SCADA over Modbus RS485 or to the cloud.
Complete your monitoring system
Panel-mount controller with a colour display, live readings and two alarm relays.
